Mrs. Betsy Brice

 I have been a math teacher in the Rosedale School district since 1997.  I taught 7th grade at Rosedale Middle School my first 3 years then helped open Freedom Middle School in 2000 where I began teaching 8th grade.  I received my bachelor of science degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio.  I completed my education requirements at CSUB and currently hold a single subject teaching credential in both math and business education.

 I have been married since 1982.   I have 2 children, a daughter who lives with her husband in San Diego and a son, and a pet dog, George.  In 2016 during the first week of school, my granddaughter was born making me a first time grandmother (Grammy).  She has helped make these last 4 years very special!!  We are also anticipating a wonderful Christmas gift as our daughter is expecting our grandson to arrive sometime near the end of 2020.  That will make 2020 special in a whole new way!!

The main reason I chose middle school when I began my teaching career was because of my 8th grade math teacher.  She helped me begin to see how very important math is to our everyday lives.  I hope to pass the love of math she helped instill in me on to the students who pass through my math classroom each year.
