Principal's Message

  • Dear Del Rio families:
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year.  We are beginning the year with distance learning, in accordance with health and safety recommendations from state officials. Beginning August 17, 2020, parents and students will be invited by appointment to meet their teacher, check out a Chromebook,  and receive classroom books and materials.   A time of training on classroom procedures and expectations will take place.  Full distance learning will begin in earnest on August 31.  Look for information to come.
At Del Rio Elementary School, our motto is "Every Student Matters, Every Moment Counts!"  Whether it be success in achieving high academic marks for a job well done, learning a new skill they have been working to master, making progress socially and behaviorally, or feeling proud about their efforts, our goal is to help children be successful.  We recognize the home/school team as the most valuable and know that parent support and involvement makes a huge difference in the lives of our children.  Our commitment is to communicate with parents, collaborate as a team, and create a positive learning environment in which children will thrive.  We are looking forward to another great school year at Del Rio!  Del Rio Elementary School has a long and proud tradition of fostering educational excellence in students.  As your principal, I am honored to be part of this school community and to develop deep and lasting bonds with the families, students, and staff who make Del Rio a great place to be.
