2017 Spelling Bee

  • The Rosedale Union School District is once again participating in the local level of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
    This academic competition gives students the opportunity to showcase their knowledge of words.
    Students in grades 4 through 8 are eligible to participate.
     
    Each school site will hold a school level Spelling Bee in January 2016.  Please contact your school for more information on dates and times.  Each school will send the top three spellers to the District Spelling Bee.  Additionally, the top speller at each school site will receive a free one year subscription to Encyclopedia Brittanica Online for Kids (a $69.95 value).
     
    The Rosedale District Spelling Bee will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Development Center on the campus of Rosedale Middle School.  Parents are welcome to attend.
     
    The top speller at the Rosedale District Spelling Bee will move on to compete at the Kern County Spelling Bee on  Monday, March 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bakersfield City School District Auditorium located at 1300 Baker Street.
    The winner of the Kern County Spelling Bee will qualify to participate in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May.
