I am a Rosedale School District graduate. I attended Kindergarten - 8th grade in the Rosedale School District when there was only one school site. After Rosedale, I attended North High School and then attended Bakersfield College, where I received my AA in Liberal Studies. I transferred to Cal State University Bakersfield where I earned my BA in Liberal Studies. I completed the teaching credential program earning my credential in 1992. I began teaching in the Bakersfield City School district in Fall of 1992. I returned to Cal State Bakersfield in 1996 and earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Spring of 1997. After teaching in Bakersfield City School District for 5 years, I moved to the Rosedale School District. I began teaching 3rd grade at Almondale in the fall of 1997 and continued teaching 3rd grade until June 2019. I became the Dean of Students at Almondale in the fall of 2019.
I enjoy spending time with my husband in the mountains hunting. We are avid hunters during deer season - both archery and rifle, and also during bird season - focusing on quail. Even in the off season we love to be in the outdoors and spending time enjoying nature. We also love to spend time with our children and grandchildren.
