My name is Charles Riley.  I have over 15 years of experience in education and have worked in the Rosedale Union School District for 10 years.  I began teaching in 2008 at Centennial Elementary School. I transitioned to Bakersfield City Schools for five years at the middle school level and took the opportunity in 2013 to return to the Rosedale School District teaching fifth grade here at American.

I am married with three wonderful children, who keep us pretty busy outside of school!  My amazing wife, Tonya, is also an educator within Rosedale, so we are acutely aware of how important education is to the social, emotional, physical, and educational well-being of children.
