As we continue to monitor the newly-identified strain of a coronavirus known as 2019 Novel Coronavirus, the Kern County Superintendent of Schools has been in contact with the Kern County Public Health Services Department to monitor the situation.
To date, there have been no confirmed cases in Kern County and residents are at low risk of becoming infected. However, there have now been confirmed cases in California, leading to added anxiety.
We feel it is important to stay informed. For this reason, Kern County Public Health has released the attached two resources. We ask that you review the importance of precautionary steps with your family. As new information becomes available, we will update our information.
