Hello Independence Families:

What was your favorite book growing up? Help students find the stories they'll love forever by volunteering at our book fair! (See the schedule attached to this link.) The Literati Book Fair is back, and the online fair is already up and accessible. The physical book fair will be open September 6-14th. , we will be open during the PTC Ice Cream Social on September 13th from 6-7:30 pm!

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS...If you are available and would like to help out please look over the schedule attached. You can email me, Mrs. Vegas, at: avegas@ruesd.net  to let me know what slots you can help out with or if you have any questions! The kiddos love to see their parents, grandparents, older siblings, uncles, aunts... in the book fair! (Especially when they know they're the ones with the money!) 

Thank you for supporting our library! Our funds raised help to purchase new books and to purchase supplies to repair books that have been well-loved.

  • Payment methods for the students during class visits: 
    • Literati Gift Card!!! (Go to efairs.literati.com/gift-cards/ and you can purchase a gift card for any amount you choose! Please either print out the code, write it down, (or Mrs. Vegas will have it on her morning printout), and send it with your student. This eliminates them having to hold onto money. Also, it lets Grandparents or other family members contribute to their Book Fair experience!!!
    • Cash
    • Check made out to "Rosedale Union School District" (You can add a note if you have instructions on how it is to be spent.)
  • Payment methods during the Ice Cream Social for Adults on September 13th from 6-7:30 pm: cash, check, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, contactless cards, and Literati book fair gift cards.
  • Browse our Fair "online" for a sneak peek or to do some early shopping! You can purchase a gift card for your student's teacher so they can purchase books for their classroom libraries!   All purchases through this link will benefit our library and the orders will ship within 10 days after the fair.
  • They also have a wonderful "Book Club" subscription that you can sign up for!
