Through KCSOS, Judge Michael Caves came spoke to 2nd graders at Patriot Elementary. He discussed the difference between rules vs laws. Students had fun role playing as a judge and what information and facts they would need in order to rule.
We learned that you have to be an attorney for 15 years before becoming a judge.👨⚖️👩⚖️

Our annual Freedom Celebration was a wonderful event. We want to thank Officer Shipton and the BPD for participating in our tradition of honoring veterans, both past and present. The choir and band performed beautifully for a packed house of students. It was inspiring to see our students show their appreciation for veterans. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate those who serve our country.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Centennial Cubs had a blast night at our PTC’s Mother/Son Pinewood Derby! Race cars were built and decorated before hitting the track to see who had the fastest car. There was even a real race car and driver to take pictures with! ❤️🐻🏎️🏁

Rosedale North held their annual Community Reader Day where people from all over Kern County came and visited our campus. Students learned about their jobs, how reading plays a role in their work, and got to ask lots of questions! 📚🚔🚒🚎🏍️

Today we held the Rosedale Union School District Spelling Bee! 🐝 We are so proud of all of our students that qualified to participate, job well done!
Congratulations to RMS Leah Carr, Spelling Bee Champion and RMS Carson Yanney, Spelling Bee Runner-up!!! Way to go! 🐝🥇

6th Grade Centennial Cubs were challenged by Mrs. Valentino last week to build a tower made of marshmallows and spaghetti. The students had to work together to design structures strong enough to support a candy pumpkin. 🐻❤️🎃🧠💪🏻

Mrs. McFee’s TK class at Rosedale North took a step into the world of democracy as they learned about voting! The students got to cast their own ballots in a classroom election. 🗳️ 🇺🇸

Patriot 1st Graders did their civic duty and participated in hotly debated votes! Students in Mrs. Kellogg’s class voted between Duck for President vs Grace for President (two stories reading class) while Mrs. Furtado’s class voted on Oreos vs Chocolate Chip Cookies!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
