
PTC's Trunk or Treat was a success! Thank you to the many families that donated candy for this event. The trunks were definitely amazing this year. I think we all loved the music and the creativity!







Today twenty students from our 4th-6th grades participated in the Centennial 23-24 Spelling Bee. They were the top 20 of the over seventy students who took the pre-qualification test. Congratulations to our top 3 Spellers: Arabella, Ronan, and Frank who will be representing our school at the District Spelling Bee on Nov. 6th. Way to go CUBS!!

Our very own art teacher, Miss K., was hard at work this weekend creating a piece for Via Arte. It was amazing to see her artwork in person. Our students are so very lucky to have her as our guide when exploring the world of art!


On Friday our PTC hosted a bounce house party for the students who earned this prize during the Fall Fundraiser. Students enjoyed jumping, popsicles, and popcorn. Thank you to the many parents who came out to help with this event.











Today was a beautiful day for Cub Day! Students celebrated the end of the first quarter by playing different games out on the yard. Student Council sold some yummy snacks as a fundraiser. It was wonderful to see our older kids out playing with our younger students.








October is Anti-Bullying month. Student council met today at lunch to make posters to hang up all around the school. We want our students to be Upstanders not Bystanders. Centennial Cubs know to Recognize, Report, and Refuse bullying!






Today our 3rd Grade and 4th-6th Grade BoB teams had a meeting at lunch. These students are preparing for a book battle next spring by reading books from a dedicated list. They made some spider cookies to celebrate meeting the first book read goals of the year.






Mrs. Matia and Mrs. Green's TK students got a visit from a special visitor, Cowboy Bull! He came and read some cowboy stories to the classes as they are learning all about farms. He even let them check out his spurs!!




Last week Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Tamayo's first grade classes wrapped up their apple units by making some apple pie in class! Students also got to try some apple juice and apple slices. What a sweet way to spend an afternoon in school!










This morning our cubs were earning some dogs! PTC has launched the big fall fundraiser this week. Students can earn these mystery dogs keychains they can collect on a lanyard by selling products from the fundraiser. As our 6th graders wind down their week away at Camp KEEP, here are a few more pictures of their adventures. While students are there, they get to learn all about the environment around them as they are hiking and exporting the coast.

Our 6th Graders are off to Camp KEEP! We know that they are in for a week they will never forget. A big thanks to all of the family members who are going as chaperones. We also want to thank our amazing 6th grade teachers for working so hard to make this week happen. Stay tuned this week as we will post some pics of the fun they will be having!!






Introducing our new librarian....Mrs. Stevens! We are so excited to have her join our school. She has been working hard to make our library a special place for students. Classes visit the library once a week to hear a story and find just the right book to read on their own.

Today Mrs. Mendiburu's Kindergarten Scientists put into action all of the things they have been learning about shade. Their challenge was to build a shade structure to keep a chocolate kiss from melting in the sun.
