This week we wanted to start off the new year on the right path. Students attended Behavior Expectation Stations where Mrs. Tindell, Mrs. Stern, Mrs. Martinez, and Mrs. Agee reviewed PAWS and how these school wide expectations are applied to different areas of the campus. It was a great way to remind our Cubs how they can show their Personal best by Acting responsibly, Working and playing safely, and Showing respect.

A break in the rainstorm this morning shows what lies at the end of a rainbow. See you on Monday Cubs!

Mrs. McKee's first graders have been reading different versions of the Gingerbread Man story. Today they had a special guest visit their classroom, retired science teacher, Mrs. Lanse! Students observed if gingerbread cookies would float or sink in different liquids. No wonder the Gingerbread Man got on the Fox's back to cross the river!

Holiday Dress Up Day 2: RED (Santa) vs. GREEN (Grinch)

Holiday Dress Up Day 1: Dress as your favorite movie character!

Today was our annual school Science Fair. Our Cubs have been working very hard on their projects. They got a chance to talk about their experiments while being judged on their knowledge. Congratulations to Charlie, Griffin, Vance, Stephanie, and Adelyn for a job well done!

PTC held the annual Centennial Family Christmas event today. We loved seeing all of our Cub families enjoy this holiday party! Thank you to the many volunteers who donated time or items to make this a successful event!

Mrs. Mendiburu's kinderdergarten class has been learning about Christmas traditions around the world. Today Mrs. Tindell taught the students all about St. Nicklaus Day which is a tradition in Germany. Students left their shoes outside and found treats in them later!

Our Cubs are kind! Families have already started donating new, unwrapped toys for our annual Student Council Holiday Toy Drive. You can drop off your donation to our box In front of the school through Friday, December 12th. All toys go to kids here in Kern County!

Our PTC volunteers sprinkled some holiday spirit yesterday afternoon. Students were greeted this morning with some beautifully decorated doors! Thank you!!

Thank you to all of the Cubs who donated food to Student Council's Food drive this year. We were able to feed over thirty families!

Our teachers had a blast by surprising Centennial Cubs with an underground teacher dress up day!

Mrs. Morrison's fourth graders worked together to create turkey disguises.

It was the 67th day of school and first grade decided to celebrate! Mrs. McKee's class made hats, read a book about the numbers 6 and 7, and came up with math problems that equal 6 and 7.

It's Ancient Egypt week for Centennial 6th graders and Mrs. Valentino's class is busy at work creating all kinds of artifacts.
