Congratulations to our students who represented Centennial Elementary at the Rosedale Union School District Oral Language Festival. These girls have worked hard to memorize a piece of literature and then performed it in front of a live audience. Two of our duo groups have been selected to move onto the Regional Oral Language Festival in March. Way to go CUBS!!

Dig in to school breakfast with this super fun poster contest! 🖍️🖼️🥞🍳🥣

The Centennial Cubs welcomed Greg Trine to teach us how to be authors! Cubs loved hearing about how authors create fun stories. 📚

Today we had author Greg Trine visit Centennial. He talked to students about the books he has written and how he goes about writing books for young readers. Thank you to our fabulous librarian, Mrs. Seals, for hosting this event for our school!

On Friday, January 27th, our TK classes went to visit the fire station as a part of their unit on our Community. Students got to tour the fire station and even see the water hose in action!

The Great Kindness Challenge continued this week here at Centennial. Students made kindness posters to hang up all around our campus. Students also focused on being kind to our community by writing thank you notes to veterans.

On January 25 Centennial held our 2023 Oral Language Festival. Students worked hard memorizing a story and performed it on stage in front of a live audience. These students will be going on to participate in our district level festival in February. Way to go CUBS!

Just a reminder that Wednesday, February 1, 2023, is a minimum day schedule for all students!

We kicked off our week of the Great Kindness Challenge by promising to be kind to ourselves. Students colored cutouts of themselves at lunch recess. They also pledged to be kind to our school by tracing handprints for our school poster.

Just a reminder that Monday, January 16th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and there is no school. Enjoy your three day weekend!
