Today was the district spelling bee. Congratulations to Frank, Ronan, and Arabella for representing Centennial at this event. The words were incredibly tough and our students were amazing!

Putting on a school wide event takes a ton of work. Thank you to the dedicated parents of Centennial's PTC! We even had a few teachers join in on the fun at last night's Mother Son BINGO.

Thursday night was Mother Son BINGO and it was a wonderful event! Centennial Mothers and Sons played BINGO, enjoyed tacos, and danced with the DJ. The lights went out and these families glowed!!

On Friday our PTC hosted a bounce house party for the students who earned this prize during the Fall Fundraiser. Students enjoyed jumping, popsicles, and popcorn. Thank you to the many parents who came out to help with this event.

Today was a beautiful day for Cub Day! Students celebrated the end of the first quarter by playing different games out on the yard. Student Council sold some yummy snacks as a fundraiser. It was wonderful to see our older kids out playing with our younger students.

October is Anti-Bullying month. Student council met today at lunch to make posters to hang up all around the school. We want our students to be Upstanders not Bystanders. Centennial Cubs know to Recognize, Report, and Refuse bullying!

Today our 3rd Grade and 4th-6th Grade BoB teams had a meeting at lunch. These students are preparing for a book battle next spring by reading books from a dedicated list. They made some spider cookies to celebrate meeting the first book read goals of the year.

Mrs. Matia and Mrs. Green's TK students got a visit from a special visitor, Cowboy Bull! He came and read some cowboy stories to the classes as they are learning all about farms. He even let them check out his spurs!!
